Help me Oh Lord
J14

As women most times we are helping others, our children, husbands, friend, colleagues come to us for help.

We are most times super women, strong inside, out.

We support, we give service, assistance and there is nothing wrong with that. It is a good thing.

However there are times we need help ourselves to help others.

And at times we are helpless and need help ourselves, you know what it is alright. It is alright to ask for help to feel vulnerable.Bible says ask and it will be given onto you.

1. Ask help from one another –

Galatians 6:2 -“Carry each other’s burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

No one is an island and a single tree doesn’t make a forest. You can help friends and family get through life’s big and small obstacles, and they will do the same for you.

3.Heb 6:10- “God isn’t unjust so that he forgets your efforts and the love you have shown for his name’s sake when you served and continue to serve God’s holy people.”

2God wants us to ask for help from Him

My Help Comes from the Lord

Psalm 121

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills.

   From where does my help come?

2 My help comes from the Lord,

   who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot be moved;

   he who keeps you will not slumber.

4 Behold, he who keeps Israel

   will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is your keeper;

   the Lord is your shade on your right hand.

6 The sun shall not strike you by day,

   nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all evil;

   he will keep your life.

8 The Lord will keep

   your going out and your coming in

   from this time forth and forevermore.

Do you feel overwhelmed, discouraged, burn-out. I want us to realise that its OK to need hel. Identify those areas and ask for God. He is here

When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. That is higher than I.
