In 1934, when Billy was 15, a traveling evangelist named Mordecai Ham held a revival meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina. Initially, Billy was reluctant to attend, but his curiosity got the better of him, especially after hearing rumors about the preacher’s bold sermons. A friend, Albert McMakin, convinced Billy to go by offering him the chance to drive his truck to the meeting.
During one of the services, Billy was deeply moved by Mordecai Ham’s message about sin and salvation. On November 1, 1934, just days before his 16th birthday, Billy walked down the aisle during the altar call and committed his life to Jesus Christ. This decision marked the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith and ministry.
Billy Graham went on to become one of the most influential evangelists in history, sharing the Gospel with millions around the world. His story is a testament to the power of God’s calling and the impact of a single moment of surrender.
In September 1995, there was a girl that grew up in a Christian home, got admission far from home, she never left the state of her birth, she went far away from home, a state in southwestern of the country, at the age of 15 years, naive and was going to have adventures, with curiosity, ready to explore life. That same day of arrival to the town, a lady interrupted the plans by inviting her to a church program. She attended the program, her plan was interrupted, in the program she gave her life to Christ. Just that decision, changed the trajectory of her life, from which she made several decisions that has made a life beautiful. So many have come to Christ through her life. She was fascinated by the student union life, the eloquence of the speakers. Who knows she might have a political activist?
It’s inspiring to see how one decision can change the course of a life—and even the world.
This story reminds us that evangelism isn’t about being extraordinary—it’s about being available. You never know how God might use your words or actions to touch someone’s life. Who knows? Maybe there’s a “Jumoke” out there waiting to hear from you today. 😊

- The good news is too good to keep to oneself (2 kings 6:24, 25, 7:3-9)
- Someone’s eternity depends on it (James 5:20)
- There is a reward for Evangelizing (Proverb 11:30, Dan12:3)
- It gives heaven joy (Luke 15:7)
