God sufficient grace
Our God is sovereign, adequate and enough for us.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
Ephesians 2:8-9:
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
The Bible teaches us that we are saved by God’s grace. It is not by our might, self-righteousness or our works. God’s forgiveness for sin is available to all who trust in him through faith. Grace is the reason God sent Jesus to die for our sins that we might be forgiven. Salvation is a gift, a gift can be refused and a gift can be collected and locked up and not used and also used to the fullest.
We are who we are today by the grace of God. Who is man that thou art mindful of him. No one should boast in himself or herself. We are saved by grace, alive by grace.
Arrogance and pride can be seen in our actions, words, in our hearts.
1 Samuel 2:2-9
“There is no one holy like the Lord;
there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God.
3 “Do not keep talking so proudly
or let your mouth speak such arrogance,
for the Lord is a God who knows,
and by him deeds are weighed.
4 “The bows of the warriors are broken,
but those who stumbled are armed with strength.
5 Those who were full hire themselves out for food,
but those who were hungry are hungry no more.
She who was barren has borne seven children,
but she who has had many sons pines away.
6 “The Lord brings death and makes alive;
he brings down to the grave and raises up.
7 The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
he humbles and he exalts.
8 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes
and has them inherit a throne of honor.
“For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s;
on them he has set the world.
9 He will guard the feet of his faithful servants,
but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.
“It is not by strength that one prevails;
Our God’s grace is sufficient for us to make and destroy and we trust in His grace to make us as we continue to abide in Him. God bless us and grant us the grace abide in God’s words and live in His will at all times.
